Who we are

Cirkt Technologies Inc. provides AI-assisted takeoff and live project tracking for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) contractors. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect information when you use our website and services. In this policy, “Cirkt”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Cirkt Technologies Inc., and “you” refers to the people and firms who use our website and services.

What we collect

• Account information: your name, work email, firm name, a hashed password, and a profile photo if you add one.
• Documents you upload: the drawings, schedules and specs you submit, plus the brief describing what you need.
• Project data: the structured data we extract, and the messages and questions on a project.
• Live Tracker data: names your crew enter, check-offs, notes, flags, photos attached to flags, and a device identifier.
• Dashboard data: anything your Admins enter, such as crew names and rates, budgets, costs, contract values and billing.
• Forms: what you send us through the contact and request access forms.
• Technical data: IP addresses for security and rate limits, when you were last active, and basic logs needed to run the service.

How we use it

• To extract, review and deliver the work you requested.
• To run your Live Tracker and dashboard.
• To communicate with you about your projects.
• To operate and secure the service.
• To improve the service, including testing and checking the accuracy of our tools.

We do not sell your data or your documents. We do not train AI models on your documents, and our AI providers process them to provide their service to us.

Who can see your data

• Other clients: never.
• Your firm: Admins can see all of your firm's projects. Members see only the projects assigned to them.
• Cirkt's reviewers: they can open your projects to do the work.
• Anyone with a Live Tracker link: the link is the access, so anyone holding it can open that tracker. An Admin can switch it off at any time. On the tracker, crew see check-offs without each other's names. Names are visible to whoever holds the project's manager code, and to people in your firm through the dashboard.

Service providers and where data goes

Cirkt is hosted in Canada, in Toronto. We use service providers for hosting, secure network delivery, email and web fonts. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us.

We use third-party AI providers to read your documents and organise the extracted data. Some of them process data outside Canada, in places such as the United States and Singapore. The current list of providers is in your agreement with us, or you can ask us for it.

Cookies and browser storage

We use one cookie to keep you signed in and to protect our forms, and we don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser also saves small settings, such as whether the sidebar is open. The Live Tracker saves your progress and a device identifier in your browser, so it keeps working with a poor signal.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and project data while your account is active and for as long as we need it to provide the service, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

We keep backups so we can recover from a failure. They are replaced on a rolling basis, so data you delete can stay in a backup for a limited time.

Security

Connections are encrypted in transit, passwords and sign-in codes are stored hashed, repeated sign-in attempts are limited, and you can turn on an email code as a second sign-in step. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your choices

• A client Admin can delete a project. It moves to a Deleted folder first, and an Admin can then delete it for good.
• An Admin can switch off a Live Tracker link, and remove a person's access.
• You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, and we'll respond promptly.
